Protection from moisture and leaks

Terrace and roof waterproofing — reliable protection for years

A leaking roof or a damp terrace is more than an inconvenience — over time it causes serious structural damage. ECOPOD carries out waterproofing with liquid polyurethane and acrylic membranes, bitumen systems and polyurea coatings, matched to the type and slope of the structure.

Benefits

Why choose our waterproofing?

Modern materials and proven technologies for lasting protection.

01

Complete watertightness

A seamless coating with no joints or weak spots. Liquid membranes penetrate the pores and micro-cracks of the concrete.

02

UV and weather resistance

Does not crack or lose elasticity under UV exposure, rain, snow and sharp temperature changes.

03

Fast installation

Liquid systems are applied by roller or spray — no heat, no open flame. Suitable for residential buildings.

04

Walkable surfaces

Terrace systems withstand foot traffic, UV and the placement of furniture and planters.

05

Long-term warranty

We provide a written warranty of up to 10 years, depending on the chosen system and type of structure.

06

Competitive price

Timely waterproofing prevents far more expensive repairs to structural elements.

Step by step

How we work

Four steps from site visit to the final protective layer.

  1. Diagnostics

We locate the leak points and assess how badly the old waterproofing is damaged.

  2. Preparation

Removal of the old waterproofing where needed. Cleaning and priming of the substrate.

  3. Application

Main waterproofing layer → reinforcing mesh in vulnerable areas → final protective layer.

  4. Test and warranty

48-hour flood test with water. Handover with a test report and warranty card.

How many years does waterproofing last?

It depends on the system. Acrylic membranes last 5 years, bitumen ones 7, liquid polyurethane 10, and polyurea coatings up to 15 years with proper maintenance. We provide a written warranty for every job.

Does the old waterproofing have to be removed?

Not always. If the old waterproofing is firmly bonded and free of blisters, liquid membranes can be applied directly over it. For local damage we carry out partial repairs. We strip it completely only in case of serious structural problems.

How do I know if my waterproofing has failed?

The signs are: damp patches on ceilings or walls, peeling plaster, mould, visible cracks on the terrace or roof. If in doubt, call us for a free site visit. We will locate the leak and propose a targeted repair.

Can you work in residential buildings without a permit?

Liquid membranes are applied without open flame or loud noise — ideal for residential buildings. No permit is needed for the balconies and terraces of individual apartments. Roofing work on an entire building usually requires a decision by the owners’ association.

What is the difference between a bitumen and a liquid polyurethane membrane?

A bitumen membrane is a sheet material, torch-applied or fixed with a self-adhesive layer. It is cheaper but has more joints and seams. A liquid polyurethane membrane is applied like paint and forms a seamless monolithic coating — better for complex shapes and vulnerable areas. We recommend it for terraces and balconies.
